A new book published by Colonial Williamsburg as part of their "Idea of America" initiative. "The Idea of America: How Values Shaped Our Republic and Hold the Key to Our Future" explores how values have shaped America.  The book's co-author joins us on HearSay to explore the development of these values across history and consider how contemporary values are evolving.

In their first book, "No COLORS," authors Bobby Kipper and Bud Ramey approached the plight of gang activity from a community perspective, offering tools for both groups and individuals to combat youth violence.  They've applied that same strategy to the prevention of another form of youth violence, bullying.  They join HearSay host Cathy Lewis today to discuss their new book, "No Bullies," and to offer parents and children the clear information and tools needed to help navigate the dangerous epidemic of bullying in America.
