Saving Face
A horrifying trend of violence against women is developing in countries such as India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Columbia.   Assailants have found a cheap and quick way of alomst completely destroying a woman’s life and identity -- acid.   A local organization, Physicians for Peace, is working to change the lives of the victims of these brutal attacks.  Today we're joined by a doctor on the front line of that fight.

A Pirate's Life
For many, the mention of "pirates" conjures images of a swaggering Johnny Depp or an eye-patched buccaneer, but current day pirates are anything but. On today's HearSay we'll examine the modern face of piracy and how the coastal waters of Somalia still prove dangerous for international shippers due to local pirate activity.  We'll also travel back to a time when dangerous pirates roamed the waters of coastal Virginia and threatened the Commonwealth's development and prosperity.
