The new program, "A Chef’s Life," airs Thursdays at 9:00pm on WHRO-TV 15.  The show plunges audiences into the kitchen of a high-end restaurant located in the low country of eastern North Carolina.  "A Chef's Life" follows the trials and travails of Chef Vivian Howard and her husband, Ben Knight, and their farm-to-table restaurant, Chef & the Farmer.  Chef Vivian will join us live in this segment to tell us more about the program and her skills in the kitchen, plus we'll find out how you will be able to meet and eat with her at WHRO's upcoming Strolling Supper!

HearSay History: A New Presidential Perspective
Following last week's 50th anniversary of his assassination, we bring you an intriguing new look at the life, and death, of one of our nation's most iconic figures, President John F. Kennedy. In his new book, The Kennedy Half-Century, the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics' own Larry Sabato sheds new light on Kennedy's presidential saga, tragic assassination and evolutionary image that has defined the political world he analyzes for a living.  First, Cathy sits down with one of the the country's leading presidential historians, 
Doris Kearns Goodwin.  Her new book, The Bully Pulpit, offers a deeply insightful study of presidents - freshly told through the decades-long and complicated friendship of Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft.

Hampton Roads' relationship with the Chesapeake Bay is complex. Local industries rely on it for their livelihoods and countless families enjoy the recreational opportunities it affords, yet the health of the Chesapeake Bay is often threatened by those same activities and industries. Over the past half decade, William & Mary's Puller Clinic has worked to train the college's students in the practice of law while providing assistance to Virginia's growing population of veterans. U.S. Senator Mark Warner, as well as members of the clinic, join us live to discuss the vital importance of assisting the Commonwealth's veterans in claiming their owed, and much needed, benefits. We will also be joined by Sal A. Giunta, the first living American to earn the Medal of Honor since the Vietnam War and author of the book, "Living with Honor." He joins us in advance of his Thursday, November 14, appearance at Old Dominion University as part of their President's Lecture Series.
