Flavor Profiles
First up in our monthly cooking program, HearSay host Cathy Lewis talks with our favorite foodie Patrick Evans-Hylton and gets the latest dish on local restaurants and eateries with our popular "Flavor Profiles" segment. Chef Patrick Evans-Hylton is an award-winning food journalist and James Beard Award judge, who has covered local food and foodways through print, radio and television since 1995. He is the author of several books, including Dishing Up Virginia. He is the editor (expert) at About.com's Fish and Seafood Cooking site.

How To Wine & Dine
"Wining and dining" are more than just a fun rhyme. It's important to understand how to truly pair them to achieve the ultimate appreciation for the two. On today's HearSay Delcious Dish, we get schooled on wine and it's ways. Plus, we'll also talk about the rise in popularity of cider and its production in Virginia.

Tuesday, September 23, 2014
In the first half of today's HearSay, we'll dig our heels into extreme running. Guest host Kerri Furey will explore how many runners are literally going the extra mile (or 25 miles!) a day for either a good cause or their own health. With this lifestyle of running, what are some of the ways you can put your best foot forward without injuring yourself? What about children and running? Step lively and join this conversation, live on-air or on our Facebook page.

Arts Explosion: WHRO's The Scene
The arts scene in Hampton Roads is vibrant and multilayered. On any given day, you can find a mural in progress in Downtown Norfolk, a quirky folk art show on the Peninsula, playful children's displays in public spaces throughout any of the seven cities, and multiple university galleries showcasing a variety of media. Larger institutions like The Chrysler and MOCA display their permanent collections and area galleries all rival the offerings of larger metropolitan areas. In this segment, we'll explore WHRO's newest online endeavor called "The Scene." This new community-interest blog, covers art in Hampton Roads in a new way. Hear from some of the artists we've featured, plus how you can get involved!
