It's Carl Kasell Day!
Longtime NPR newscaster Carl Kasell retired his alarm clock, and from his job with Morning Edition in December. That doesn't mean he's taking it easy. We'll talk to him about his career in broadcasting, his ongoing role as judge and scorekeeper on Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me! and his newest role with NPR, Roving Ambassador, which brings him to our studio. Those who miss hearing Carl Kasell during morning newscasts on Morning Edition, and aren't lucky enough to have his voice on their answering machine, will want to tune in for a conversation with the man himself.
