The State of Satire

The sound of gunfire in the newsroom of a Paris satirical weekly echoed around the world of satire last Wednesday, but those who make their living at mockery vowed to press on. As the news spread, American satirists, journalists, humorists and comedians were joining in the condemnations and clarion calls for freedom. We’re joined today by Virginian-Pilot cartoonist, Walt Taylor, as we consider the potential chilling effect that last week’s attacks could have on similar satirical publications.
