The Antiques Roadshow is headed to town! We'll talk today with ARS Executive Producer, Marha Bemko, about the show's upcoming June 25 visit to Virginia Beach.

 

Segment B:
Recently, William and Mary announced that by Fall 2016, upperclassmen and graduate students can opt to live with other students regardless of sex, gender, or gender expression. This policy adjustment was pushed for and designed primarily by students. Today we'll explore the flexible housing model and its implementation at colleges and universities across the country, and consider the implication for students and college communities.

The Murder of Xulhaz Mannan

A week ago a gay rights activist, Xulhaz Mannan, and his friend were killed in Bangladesh's capital city, Dhaka. Mannan served as the editor of Roopbaan, the country's only LGBT magazine, and had familial ties to Hampton Roads. We'll talk today with Mannan's nephew, Raj Islam, and other members of Virginia Beach's Human Rights Council and Hampton Roads Pride about the global impact of Xulhaz Mannan's death.
