Today, we're talking with local author August Wallmeyer about his book, The Extremes of Virginia, which explores the deficits of the Southside, Southwest and Eastern Shore. Later, a conversation with Kelly Sokol about her debut novel The Unprotected and its exploration of postpartum depression.

August Wallmeyer - is a former radio and television news reporter, government speechwriter and energy lobbyist

Kelly Sokol - serves on the Board of Directors at the Muse Writers Center in Norfolk where she also teaches creative nonfiction and fiction writing. Her debut novel is The Unprotected
